The Indian based automaker Tata Motors has officially presented to the public, at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo, the India Vista Concept S2.
Tata Motors seems to be on top of the wave on the local auto market and not only, and after the new generation of the world’s cheapest car, the Nano, has been presented not too long ago, along with the new generation of the Safari Storm SUV, the company has just placed a new model into the spotlights. Even if the new vehicle is only a concept, revealed under the Tata Indica Vista S2 name, the model might actually preview a future production vehicle which might hit the local auto market, and not only, as a hatchback.
The Tata Indica Vista Concept S2 has all the chances of hitting the production line, and everything on it confirms is, starting with the engine, going through the exterior design and ending with the cabin. The model is powered by a 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine which is developing a top speed of 140 PS at 6.000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 188 Nm of torque at 3.500 rpm, mated to a five-speed manual transmission, Fiat sourced, with revised gear ratios. The model has a beefed up suspension, 17 inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, rear spoiler and that’s about it.
