Tata Motors to Distribute Passenger Vehicles in Myanmar image

Tata Motors and Apex Greatest Industrial Company reached an agreement according to which to distribute Tata passenger and commercial vehicles in Myanmar.

Tata Motors and Apex Greatest signed the purchase and sale agreement on May 26th, 2012, in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar’s capital city. The agreement was signed by RT Wasan, head, international business, commercial vehicles and Johnny Oommen, head, international business, passenger vehicles, on behalf of Tata Motors.

Tata Motors and Myanmar Automobile & Diesel Industries signed a turnkey contract in March 2010, to build a heavy truck assembly plant, in Magwe, in central Myanmar, with a $20 million line of credit from the Government of India. The plant was inaugurated in December 2010 and it’s now fully operational. The facility produces 1,000 units annually, but can increase production to 5,000 annually.

According to the agreement Apex Greatest Industrial will distribute trucks assembled at the Magwe plant, as well as passenger cars and commercial vehicles imported from India.
