The 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid will be officially presented to the public next week, during the 2015 New York Auto Show, and the company has released the first teaser images with it.
The Japanese based automaker Toyota is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid. This will take place on the 2nd of April, at the 2015 New York Auto Show, as the company has recently announced. The RAV4 EV, which was co-developed with Tesla Motors, has been phased out a few months back and now the carmaker is coming back with the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid. A couple of teaser images with the model have been released and they are partially revealing the rear end of the crossover.
Considering the fact that the taillights look different than the ones of the 2015 model year, chances are we will see some mild updates for the entire range. Expect modifications in the cabin too but keep in mind that we’re not talking about a new generation, so don’t get your hopes too high. Technically speaking, the 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is expected to get the 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine, along with an electric motor, a layout similar to the one found on the Lexus NX 300h. The total output produced by the assembly should stand at 194 HP (145 kW). More details on the new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid are limited for the moment and will be announced next week, during the 2015 New York Auto Show.
