The next generation of the Buick Verano will be making its debut on the 19th of April, one day before the Shanghai Auto Show will be officially opening its gates.
The North American based automaker Buick is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the new generation of the Verano as this will be happening on Sunday, the 19th of April, 2015, one day before it will be making its public debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. The announcement has been officially made by the car brand and it seems that inspiration for the new model has been taken from the 2013 Riviera Concept and from the 2015 Avenir Concept.
“Shanghai GM today announced that the Verano, Buick’s new-generation sports sedan, has been given the name of “Wei Lang” in Chinese. It will make its debut in Shanghai on April 19, on the eve of Auto Shanghai 2015”, said the car manufacturer in its official press release.
The 2016 Buick Verano will be launched in Europe as the Opel Astra Sedan and it is expected to get an evolutionary design and it will be growing in size, providing an extended wheel base which is translated into more room for the rear passengers. Rumor has it that it will be riding on the D2XX platform, sharing it with the next-gen Euro-spec Opel Astra and the next-gen China-spec Chevrolet Cruze. Additional details on the brand new Buick Verano are limited for the moment and will probably be announced during the Chinese automotive event.
