Land Rover has officially released the first teaser images with the upcoming Evoque Cabrio, which will be debuting next month.
A new addition to the Range Rover Evoque lineup will be made in just a few weeks and this will be nothing else than the long anticipated Cabrio. The model in question has been rumored for a couple of years now and after being caught on camera by spy photographers on the Old Continent and starred in various reports, time has come to see some official teasing with it.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Design Director and Chief Creative Officer, said: “The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is perfectly suited to the urban surroundings of a city like London and it’s the perfect place to showcase the world’s first luxury compact SUV convertible. The locations chosen reflect the refined and luxurious lifestyle of an Evoque Convertible customer – two attributes this vehicle delivers in abundance.”
The Range Rover Evoque Cabrio will be getting an electrically retractable soft top, instead of the fixed metal roof, and this will be offered in a 3-door body style. The vehicle will basically be an evolution of the concept car which has been shown back in 2012, during the Geneva Motor Show, and it will be getting an engine lineup from the facelifted version and it will be including the Si4 petrol turbocharged unit, producing 240 HP (177 kW), along with the TD4 Ingenium turbo diesel, rated at 150 HP (110 kW) or 180 HP (132 kW). The vehicle will be unveiled next month.
