The Czech based automaker Skoda has officially announced its plans to pull the wraps off the new Fabia Combi R5 Concept during the 2015 Worthersee.
After showing the new Fabia R5 rally car just a few weeks ago, time has come for Skoda to introduce a new version of the model, called the Fabia Combi R5 Concept. The model in question is basically a reinterpretation of the racer already available and it is coming with the aggressive front bumper, with the center mounted exhaust system, the prominent rear wing, the blacked out front grille, the 18-inch alloy wheels and the tri-color livery, helping it stand out.
“SKODA’s designers have reinterpreted the Fabia R5 as an estate model to create the SKODA Fabia R5 Combi show car. The green, white and black SKODA Fabia R5 Combi will be driving onto the stage on 18-inch alloys. At the front, the powerful bumpers and wide air intake testify to the car’s rallying ambitions. The wide contoured grille is finished in back, just as the wing mirror covers. Flared mudguards and powerful doorsills accentuate the model’s racy appearance. The rear sports a huge spoiler, as well as a giant rear bumper, and the wide exhaust pipe is positioned in the centre”, said the carmaker in its official press release.
The brand new Skoda Fabia Combi R5 Concept will be taking its power from a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine. This will be connected to the 5-speed sequential transmission and if you were hoping to find out some performance figures, you’re in for a big disappointment because the carmaker hasn’t announced them at this time. It isn’t even known whether the model has all-wheel drive or not but these details will be announced once this will be officially presented to the public at the 2015 Worthersee. Meanwhile you can check it out in the two official images released by Skoda.
