Chevrolet has released a teaser image with the new generation of the Spark which will be officially presented on the 2nd of April.
The North American based automaker Chevrolet is currently teasing out the 2016 Spark for the 2nd of April. The model in question is said to be a new generation which will be adopting an evolutionary design compared to the current one. This will be based on the Opel Karl / Vauxhall Viva and it will be getting the rear door handles mounted near the C-pillar, as a signature, just like the current variant.
The 2016 Chevrolet Spark will be standing in at 3,680 mm in length and it will be riding on a 2,385 mm long wheelbase, with a trunk capacity standing in at 1,000 liters, with the rear seats folded, of course. Some of the goodies which will be added to it will include the infotainment system, the sunroof, the heated front seats, the cruise control, the heated steering wheel, the park assist and several other tweaks.
Rumor has it that the new generation of the Chevrolet Spark will be taking its power from the 1.0 liter naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine, producing a total output of 75 HP (55 kW). The unit should be connected only to the 5-speed manual transmission, just like the Opel Karl, which is burning an average of 4.3 liters / 100 km (66 mpg UK / 55 mpg US) and it is emitting 99 g/km of CO2. More details on the new Spark will be announced at the New York Auto Show and Seoul Auto Show, on the 2nd of April.
