BMW 1-Series M Coupe has already received a tuning package, but was only offered to one client – Clockwork Orange. Fortunately, now is the time for BMW fans to enjoy another package offering for them by TechTec.
This little sports car already boasts a new twin-turbocharged, all-aluminum, 3.0 liter inline-6 engine that throws power to the BMW 1-Series M Coupe by 335 horsepower. However, the German tuner, TechTec has felt to rework on this car and bring something more fascinating. Therefore, the tuner played with this already gorgeous BMW and turned the engine to produce its power through the three different power stages listed below:
• First stage of the tuning work will help the engine to generate 380 horsepower and a peak torque of 427 pound-feet which will be available for 1,000 euro that comes around $14,000 according to the current rates.
• The second stage costs 1,500 euro which is around $2,100 and includes an added 20 horsepower making it to total 400 horsepower. However, the tuner would advice its buyers to get upgraded air cooler which will cost another 800 euro or $1,120.
• The third stage offers straight 450 horsepower, making the car to sprint from 0-60 mph in an estimated 4.1 seconds. This output is also achieved because of the top speed limiter that has removed by the tuner. Due to this, the car makes a top speed of 186 mph.
Also, the car will roar aggressively through its added titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic. With the addition of club sport-suspension by KW, the car’s handling will also be improved.
Well, if we compare the BMW 1-Series M Coupe tuned by TechTec with the standard 1-Series M Coupe and BMW M3, then we must say that the TechTec’s creation lapped the Hockenheim circuit in 1:13:59 whereas, the standard version made 1:14.1 and the M3 followed at 1:14.2. And the answer is right here which doesn’t makes much difference, but is a good option to go for TechTec package.
