The Japanese automaker decided to release an all new Texas Titan edition pickup in time for the Texas State Fair – and the pickups come to celebrate the truck-loving Lone Star State.
The Titan gets extra styling tweaks both on the standard Titan and on the larger Titan XD – with the models making their first official appearance during the State Fair of Texas. The Texas Titans have new exterior design trim pieces – for example chromed parts on the inner grille and its surround. There are also matching 20-inch chrome wheels and exhaust tips, with the final bling given by the metallic-finish for the kick plates.
The Texas-themed package will be available on the Crew Cab models in the SV and SL trims of the Titan and Titan XD – for both the 4×4 and 4×2 drivetrains. The XD owners can select either the diesel 5.0-liter Cummins V8 with 310 horsepower (231 kilowatts) and 555 pound-feet (753 Newton-meters) of torque or the petrol 5.6-liter Endurance V8 with 390 hp (291 kW) and 394 lb-ft (534 Nm). The latter is the only one available with the pack on the standard Titan. The Texas Titan edition is not available on the newly introduced Single Cab versions.
