Talent is obvious from a low age in many cases, and this is entirely true as the spectacular Koenigsegg Utagera design concept being displayed at the Thailand International Motor Expo in Bangkok has been penned by a 15-year-old.
We’re talking here about Jennarong Muengtaweepongsa – better known by his pen name – VanaticalDesign – with the very talented creator also being the author of other interesting design prototypes such as the Aston Martin DB11 and Koenigsegg Legera (these were made this year alone). His latest work involves one more Swedish Koenigsegg, called Utagera – and would serve as a due replacement for the Agera when the time comes. The Utagera (“terminate” in Swedish) has been delivered to the audience of the Thailand International Motor Expo in Bangkok as a scale model courtesy of a scale model manufactured by California-based N2A Motors.
The designer has envisioned a true Koenigsegg, very faithful to the current design language – though he did deliver an increased level of style and elegance over pure aggressiveness. The author also envisions the Utagera using a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 mill capable of 1,000 bhp (746 kW) without resorting to a hybrid setup. This design study is Jennarong Muengtaweepongsa’s most complex so far and his work was over in three months – and since his project has already gained enough attention to have it physically exhibited at a public event we’re pretty sure we’ll see the VanaticalDesign signature soon at a global automaker.
