Vanda Electrics is an unknown Singapore startup that decided to reveal to the world its first ever electric supercar concept where else if not on the catwalk of the most exotic auto shows, taking place in Geneva.
Singapore’s first hypercar has been developed in cooperation with Williams engineering, so at least we can count on some of its credentials – ad bears the official name of Dendrobium. It is now further presented in new official teaser images, ahead of its premiere taking place in front of the live worldwide audience of the Geneva Motor Show. It has been developed and designed by “electric mobility experts” Vanda Electrics in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering, taking care of aerodynamics, lightweight structures, and vehicle integration.
The Geneva-bound prototype is only a concept, and is used to gauge interest for future projects, also set to be co-developed with Williams. Vanda hasn’t spilled the beans on the technical details, only mentioning the hypercar has the “latest in e-powertrain development.” They also promised automatic roof and doors, which “open in a synchronized manner, resembling a fully-opened dendrobium flower, a genus of orchids native to Singapore.” Inside – where only two seats are present, we should expect “the lowest carbon tannery and leather product in the world.”
