Probably hoping for better than average British weather, the Italian brand is going to celebrate its 70th anniversary in the United Kingdom with a presentation of their latest halo cars – the LaFerrari Aperta.
The Prancing Horse’s latest hypercar version became official last year, but it’s still such a rare sight that in case you live in the United Kingdom it might be the only way to see it in person – other than owning one of the 200 examples, of course. The 12 Official Ferrari Dealers in the British kingdoms will honor the brand’s 70th anniversary by displaying the open-top hypercar throughout the summer, with a mandatory stop over at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from June 29 to July 2.
Some of the other locations include Blenheim Palace on July 11, The Long Walk near Windsor Castle on July 15, and Belvoir Castle on July 25. The tour will end with the Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone from September 22 through 24 where the Aperta is going to be surrounded by a parade of other important models from the brand. Ferrari is only manufacturing 209 examples of the Aperta – nine for promotional duties and 200 for very affluent customers. The bad Britain weather shouldn’t be a problem, because the hypercar can use a soft top or a carbon fiber roof.
