The Ford GT will be difficult to buy if you’re British image

Buying the new generation of the Ford GT will turn out to be quite tricky if you happen to live in the United Kingdom.

Ford has rolled out a new generation of the GT at the beginning of this year and since then, the supercar has been brought to a lot of events, especially on the Old Continent. But what if you are living in the United Kingdom and you have your eyes on the exotic ride? Well, first of all, just like in other markets, you should be in for a long wait as the company is planning to roll off the first examples sometimes next year, with the 2017 model year on them.

Second, you should know that less than 20 examples of the GT supercar will become available over there annually. This is because the last GT has arrived in just 28 examples in the UK and in 101 units in Europe and Ford will be putting together just 250 units of the supercar every year. The total number of examples of the exotic vehicle will be far smaller than the one of its predecessor, which came in 4,000 units, but an exact number hasn’t been disclosed so far. Out of these 250 vehicles, 17 or 18 of them will become available for order in the United Kingdom. The new generation of the Ford GT will be coming with up to 700 HP from its twin turbo 3.5 liter V6 mid-mounted engine, and it will be produced in Canada, by Multimatic Motorsports. This is expected to cost approximately 240,000 GBP.
