The McLaren P1 will not suffer from depreciation image

The very first car whose value will never fall below the list price will be the McLaren P1, as experts say.

We already know that the McLaren P1 is one extremely hot ride but this is going to enter the history books as it is believed to become the first ever car to never fall below the list price. According to Magnitude Finance, the UK prestige vehicle specialist, the British hypercar will never drop below the 866,000 GBP or 1.15m USD, depending on which side of the Atlantic you are living. On the second-hand market, the vehicles are already 400,000 GBP more expensive than they were when they were originally bought and this will never drop.

McLaren has officially pulled the wraps off the P1 back in 2013, during the Geneva Motor Show. This is the first ever hybrid car to come out wearing the McLaren badges on its body and it is also the most powerful product made by the company. It has a 2-door coupe body style and a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Power is coming from the upgraded 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, producing 727 HP and 719 Nm of torque, along with an electric motor rated at 176 HP and 260 Nm of torque. The total output is 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque, enough for a 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in 2.8s and a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). Only 375 units of the hypercar have been assembled.
