The fastest production Bentley has made its North American debut during an exclusive event in New York City.
Bentley dealers across the US are now more than happy to take orders for the new Continental GT Speed line, but they do not accept less than 240,300 dollars. With deliveries starting this summer, the revised GT Speed is more powerful and faster than ever thanks to the marque’s iconic 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine that has been boosted to 642 PS, up from 635 PS, with 20 Nm of extra torque (840 Nm). All this grunt has forced the 0-60 mph sprint time to drop to just 3.9 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.1 secs), up a top speed of 206 mph (331 km/h). For the open-top lovers, GT Speed comes in a convertible version as well, a pleasure that costs from 264,300 dollars.
But if you desire even more exclusivity, the Black Edition line offers high gloss black finish, all-black 21-inch five-spoke wheels, red or black brake calipers, contrast colours to the front splitter or side skirts and rear diffuser in four different shades. Inside, the dark trim is complemented by a carbon fiber theme. Available as both coupe and convertible bodystyles, the Black treatment can be ordered from a suggested retail price of 253,235 dollars and 277,235 dollars, respectively.
