If your dreams include becoming the Queen’s chauffeur, you’d better check out the vacancy for a driver based at Buckingham Palace available on the Royal Family’s official website.
You only need to have a clean UK driving licence, be motivated, have the ability to work effectively, good administration skills, communication skills, maintain high standards and, of course, if you have a professional driving experience, the job is yours. The job requests working 48 hours a week and offers a £23,000-a-year salary and free accommodation, in castles and palaces.
The job description reads: ‘You will be responsible for driving members of the Royal Family, Household officials, guests and official visitors as directed by the Head Chauffeur.’
CVs can be submitted on the www.royal.gov.uk website until Friday, August 31st. Two months ago the Queen also offered a £50,000-a-year house manager position, who will smoothly run all of her properties and the £1.8million hospitality budget, so that her guests can receive the best treatment.
‘The successful candidate will possess in depth knowledge and experience of working in a hospitality environment at a senior management level and have experience of leading and further developing an established team,’ said the advertisement on the website.
