While all eyes are on the Consumer Electronics Show starting in Las Vegas in mere hours, we’re not forgetting about the North American International Auto Show in Detroit either.
For example Mercedes-Benz is coming with the updated 2018 GLA small crossover, arriving in front of the worldwide audience on January 9. Mercedes has released the first teaser image with its newly minted smallest crossover and considering we’re dealing with a facelift this darkened image is very revealing. We have a first peek at the newly redesigned fog lights and the new take on the corporate grille, but we can also glimpse the subtly refreshed bumper – and we might also be in for new tech for the headlights.
We might also be in for a treat at the back, where the 2018 GLA might come with a new bumper and subtly modified taillight design – and the exterior modifications should be completed with new alloy wheel options and body shades. The “fitness program” as the brand has entitled its GLA rework will most likely also touch the cabin, where an update of the infotainment system and new options are to be expected. We’re not expecting any new reveals on the powertrain front though, with the US-spec model expected to soldier on with the 208-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter or the 375-hp handcrafted AMG 2.0-liter.
