The SCG003S supercar will be presented in full production form during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show next year, coming up in front of the worldwide audience with 750 hp.
Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) has decided to end the teasing campaign and present to the world their first production model – a supercar. The SCG003S will first appear live in front of an audience during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. It sports a mildly upgraded design compared to the prototype we got to see until now and has great performance credentials. It shares numerous traits with its track-prepped sibling, so the SCG003S have numerous design and performance similarities – albeit modified for road use, as the ’S’ is here standing for ‘Stradale’ instead of the ‘C’ for ‘Competizione’ in track specification.
It will deploy a 4.4-liter V8 packing 750 horsepower (559 kilowatts) and an estimated maxium speed of 217 mph (350 km/h). The company even says the 003S will be “the fastest cornering car on sale,” able to reach more than 2Gs through the bends, which is something you only find in a prototype race car. And the sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) takes no more than three seconds. The production will be handled by Manifattura Automobili Torino in Torino and of course will use a complete carbon fiber build.
