The Bulgarian aftermarket specialist Art Studio Vilner are well known craftsmen when it comes to reworking car interiors and their latest project was already a very luxurious model to begin with.
The firm has decided now to work on a cabin with quilted leather and Alcantara on virtually any surface – the Mercedes-AMG S63 now becomes a place fit for royalty. It could even match with the company’s in house ultra-deluxe specialist, Maybach. Vilner says its latest customer had an S63 with 577-horsepower (430 kW) biturbo 5.5-liter V8, which he loved, but still wasn’t satisfied with the interior. The cabin now features large portions of leather and Alcantara – and the project has subsequently been called “The King.”
The quilted look was used extensively with the floor mats, seats, and headliner featuring white cross-stitching that covers the mix of leather and Alcantara. The steering wheel combines elements of Nappa leather and Alcantara and even the trunk has high-end materials so people can be impressed by the luxury of the cargo compartment as well. The standard wood trim was also replaced with Piano Gloss Black elements – the styling is a bit sinister and dark but apparently it was made according to the customer’s wishes. By the way, if you didn’t know, Mercedes will improve itself the cabin of the S Class with the approaching facelift set to take some cues from the recently introduced new generation E Class.
