These are the first images with the 2015 Subaru WRX STI image

The first images with the 2015 Subaru WRX STI have recently hit the web ahead of the model’s official debut which was scheduled for next week’s 2014 NAIAS, in Detroit.

The regular version of the 2015 Subaru WRX has been officially presented to the public just a few months ago, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, and now the high performance variant, the WRX STI, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some images, which claim to be official. The photos posted below represent the brand new 2015 Subaru WRX STI but they have somehow leaked, revealing the official looks of the car ahead of its public debut.

The 2015 Subaru WRX STI has received a more aggressive body kit and it’s finished in the traditional Subaru’s World Rally Blue, equipped with golden alloy wheels, the hood scoop, the large rear wing and some other tweaks. Rumors are saying that the new WRX STI will use a 2.5 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is good for 300 HP (224 kW) and 393 Nm (290 lb-ft) of torque. More details on the model remain unknown for the moment and will be announce during the Detroit Motor Show.
