Third-gen Suzuki Swift gets launched in Malaysia

Suzuki has announced the launch of the third generation of the Swift in Malaysia, where the model is now available to its future customers from RM77,888.

The 2013 Suzuki Swift available in Malaysia is coming in a single version, the GLX 1.4 VVT, the K14B 1.4 liter unit under its hood which is producing a total output of 95 PS at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 130 Nm available at 4,000 rpm. The previous engine, the M15A 1.5 liter had 101 PS and 133 Nm of torque. The new unit is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.

The third generation of the Suzuki Swift is 3,850 mm long (3,755 mm previously) and the wheelbase has also increased by 50 mm to 2,430 mm, while the width has increased by 5 mm to 1,695 mm. On the equipment list we can find the keyless entry and push-start system, the automatic climate control, the MP3 and USB functionality, the two-DIN CD player, the leather covered steering wheel and more. Safety kits include the ABS, EBD, BA, two front airbags and more. The 2013 Suzuki Swift is riding on 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 185/55 tires. Prices for the model start at RM77,888 on the road with insurance.
