The newest addition to Lewis Hamilton’s garage is a custom Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG which is joining a lot of impressive rides.
Being a Formula One driver means that you could pretty much buy any car you want and when you already have some vehicles such as the custom Mustang Shelby GT500 or the impressive Pagani Zonda 760 LH, equipped with the manual transmission, you also want a more practical ride, so a hot hatch is the choice to be made. The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is Hamilton’s newest vehicle and this has received a matte black paint finish on its body.
Besides this, the model in question is also getting the full roll cage, the wings in the front bumper, the sportier exhaust system and several other things which are telling us that this is an Edition 1 model, which was available only in the first year after it was launched. We are not sure whether some mechanical changes have been made but chances are we are looking at a more powerful version of the model.
The standard Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is taking its power from a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is capable of producing a total output of 360 H P(256 kW) and a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). This is allowing it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 4.6 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The carmaker is planning a facelift for the A-Class which will add an even more powerful version on the range-topping A45 AMG.
