The next generation of the Mitsubishi ASX is returning to our attention with the help of another rendering.
Over these past few years, there have been a lot of rumors and renderings regarding the next generation of the Mitsubishi ASX, but the new one is, in our opinion, the closest thing to reality. Before falling in love with it or asking the Japanese based carmaker to accept your deposit, you should know that this is nothing more than a simple rendering at this point and it has been put together by X-Tomi Design.
The compact crossover has been inspired by the eX Concept, which will debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, at the end of this month. Compared to the concept car, this rendering is bringing a modified front fascia, but don’t expect major differences because it’s not the case. However, its large LED DRLs and fog lamps, along with the slender LED headlights, the small front grille and the huge front bumper are contributing to its looks.
However, the final production form of the new ASX might turn out to be quite different than the one pictured above. Expect some new technologies add to it, along with an improved interior design and a new engine and transmission lineup. The upcoming crossover is believed to be unveiled sometimes in 2016, but Mitsubishi is currently keeping things a secret for the moment. Don’t act too surprised if you will see it during a major automotive event, next year.
