Bentley has officially pulled the wraps off its newest creation, the Mulsanne Speed Blue Train Special Edition, ahead of the Techno Classica debut.
The newest creation to be signed by Bentley is a new special edition of the luxurious Mulsanne. The model in question has been called the Mulsanne Speed Blue Train Special Edition and it has been unveiled over the web ahead of its debut which will be made at the Techno Classica. According to the car manufacturer, the vehicle has been designed in order to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Blue Train race, which has been won back in 1930 by the Bentley Chairman, Captain Woofl Barnato.
“The Blue Train is one of the most famous and celebrated cars in the world, and it perfectly embodies the racing spirit of the Bentley. Woolf Barnato was a three-time Le Mans victor, but winning the Blue Train race captured the public’s imagination, and fuelled the legend of the Bentley Boys”, said Richard Charlesworth, the Bentley Heritage Collection chief.
The new special edition of the Bentley Mulsanne is coming with a revised front grille with the square mesh pattern which is echoing the original Speed Six, with black alloy wheels, the Blue Train 85 Years tread plates in the modified interior, the fluting pattern on the door panels which is echoing the one of Barnato’s car and so on. The first model will also get the Haviland Limoges porcelain crockery, the Angora picnic rug and the Robbe & Berking silver plated cutlery. Production will be limited to just four units and it will be sold to select customers in continental Europe.
