No, it’s not the new C63 AMG Coupe, but a last hurrah for the model which will get a successor soon.
Mercedes-Benz is currently working on the new generation of the C-Class Coupe and the model in question is believed to be going to the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September. But the 3-pointed star isn’t letting things end with the current C-Class Coupe, in the range-topping C63 AMG Coupe version, as it has officially pulled the wraps off a brand new special edition. The model has been called the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition and it is based on the current generation of the C-Class Coupe.
The vehicle will only become available for order in South Africa and its production will be limited to just ten examples, so if you have your eyes on it, you should probably contact your local dealership because no pricing details have been announced so far. The performance two-door coupe midsized car has been finished in the Viper Green color and it has 10-spoke alloy wheels, covering the red braking calipers. Under its hood, we can find the 6.2 liter V8 naturally aspirated engine, which is capable of putting down a total of 506 HP (372 kW) and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to a 7-speed AMG Speedshift MCT transmission which is allowing the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds.
