The newest addition to the Renault lineup is called the Talisman and it has been officially unveiled by the French based automaker.
Following its debut on several Asian markets and a lot of teaser images released for this particular model, which is aimed towards the Old Continent, the brand new Renault Talisman is finally here. The model in question is serving as a replacement for both the Laguna and the Latitude and it stands at 4.85 meters in length, 1.87 meters in width, 1.46 meters in height and it is riding on a 2.81 meter long wheelbase. The total trunk capacity stands at 608 liters with the rear bench in its up position.
The new flagship model has an updated design which is highlighted by the front grille, which has been flanked by the full LED headlights and the LED daytime running lights with their C shape. The side profile of the car has a prominent shoulder line, chrome framing for the windows and glossy pillars. The rear end is making it even more distinctive and here we can find the sleek LED taillights.
The cabin of the Renault Talisman seems to be inspired by the one of the new Espace and the carmaker says that the rear knee room stands at 262 mm, meaning one of the best in the segment, while the headroom is 855 mm. More than 25 liters of stowage space are being offered inside it, along with a 4.2-inch central display or even an 8.7-inch one if you will go for the more expensive versions, working with the R-Link 2 infotainment system.
Some of the other goodies available for the new Talisman include the Bose surround sound system, with no less than 13 speakers, 10-way adjustable seats with heated cushions, backs, with massage functions and with six memorized positions. At the time of its launch, the Renault Talisman will become available in the Initiale Paris flagship version, which will be easily distinguishable thanks to the Ametyste Black metallic shade, to the specific exterior and interior badges, the bespoke 19-inch wheels, the Nappa wrapped steering wheel, Nappa full-grain upholstery, exclusive carpet mats, laminated side windows and so on.
The engine lineup of the new Renault Talisman includes two petrol burners. These are the TCe 150 and the TCe 200, both of them turbocharged and both working with the 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The diesel range will include two dCi units, the dCi 110 and the dCi 130, which will be connected to a 6-speed manual or to a 7-speed dual clutch. Renault also says that a dCi 160 twin turbo diesel will become available too, working together with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. No pricing details or official launch info have been announced so far.
