The new generation of the Skoda Superb Combi has been officially unveiled by the Czech based automaker as this will be making its public debut in September.
The second body style of the new Skoda Superb generation is the Superb Combi. The model in question has been officially unveiled over the web as the company has released the first details and images with it. According to the car manufacturer, this has the same roomy interior as the already available version thanks to the 2,841 mm long wheelbase and 1,584 mm / 1,572 mm front to rear tracks.
“With the new SKODA Superb Combi, we have further developed the existing strengths of the Superb and once again set a benchmark for the competition. With its expressive, dynamic design, we are emphasizing and complimenting SKODA’s expertise in the estate segment. The combination of aesthetics, top-of-the range technology and the highest practical benefits makes the new Superb Combi an outstanding vehicle within its segment. With the new flagship, we will attract new customers to our brand”, said the board member for technical development, Frank Welsch.
The 2016 Skoda Superb Combi has a 660 liter trunk capacity which is making it 27 liters bigger than the model it is replacing. If you fold down the rear seats, the total capacity will increase to an impressive 1,950 liters. Both figures are actually unbeatable in this class. The engine lineup is carried over from the already available version so expect the four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline and diesel burners, producing between 120 HP (88 kW) and 280 HP (206 kW), Euro 6 compliant and equipped with the brake energy recovery systems and stop / start technology to improve fuel consumption by 30 percent. The new Skoda Superb Combi will be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September, and it will be offered for sale across the Old Continent one month later.
