The new Volkswagen California has been officially unveiled by the German based automaker.
Volkswagen has officially pulled the wraps off the new California. The model in question has been based on the recently unveiled T6 and it is currently available for order, on its local market, for a starting price of 41,429.85 euros. For the money, customers will be getting features like the removable picnic table and folding chairs which have been mounted to the tailgate, seating for seven people, a manual pop-top and several other goodies.
If this doesn’t seem like enough for you, than you can always turn your head towards the mid-range version, the California Coast, which is adding the stainless steel sink, the 42-liter cooler, the two burner stove, the higher-end furniture with wood and aluminum accents and so on. The top of the line model has been called the California Ocean and it is bringing the dimmable LED lights, the auxiliary heating seating, the double glazed windows, power pop-top roof and others. At the time of its launch, Volkswagen will be offering the model in question with two petrol engines, with outputs of 149 HP (110 kW) and 204 HP (150 kW). Diesel lovers will be able to choose from a variety of TDI units, which are ranging between 84 HP (62 kW) and 204 HP (150 kW). Prices for the vehicle start from just over 41,000 euros in Germany and this is available for order as we speak.
