Cadillac has pull the wraps off an updated version of the popular ATS, the so-called ATS-L.
The newest variant of the Cadillac ATS is called the ATS-L and it has been officially unveiled, stealing some of the shine away from the range-topping ATS-V. The model in question is nothing more than a long wheelbase version of the midsized sedan, which will be offered for sale, where else than China, in just a few days, bringing some upgraded features, compared to the previous one.
“Since its arrival on the market in August 2014, the ATS-L has been recognized for its outstanding performance-focused features, which include a 2.0L turbo SIDI engine (one of Ward’s 10 Best Engines), sport-tuned rear-wheel drive, a Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) suspension and Brembo high-performance brakes that come standard across its full lineup”, says the automaker in its press release.
The 2016 Cadillac ATS-L is bringing features such as the Apple CarPlay compatibility, the OnStar 4G LTE, the WiFi connectivity, an updated infotainment system which is said to be three times faster than its predecessor and an updated front grille, amongst others. Caddy says that the OnStar 4G and the on-board Car-Fi is allowing users to connect up to 7 mobile devices within 700 square meters around the car. Under the hood, the model is packing a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is connected to a new 8-speed automatic transmission. More details on the updated ATS-L are limited for now.
