And we can’t really put our finger on whether to call it interesting, great or kitschy.
When talking about exterior colors of exotic vehicles, most people prefer traditional shades like white, black, silver, yellow or red, but what happens when the tastes of the owner don’t match your personal ones? Well, the best answer would be to simply ignore it, but what if you cannot really put your finger on how to call it? This is exactly the case with this particular example of the McLaren P1 which has received a deep purple finish for its body. The model in question is in the McLaren Glasgow showroom but rather than trying to figure it out what to call it, we’d better let you decide for yourselves.
Meanwhile, we will remind you that the P1 has been officially presented to the public more than 2 years ago, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. This is the most powerful road-legal McLaren vehicle up-to-date and it is being put together in Woking, Surrey, England, in just 375 units. The number is making it the most exclusive hybrid supercar on the market. The P1 has a 2-door coupe body style, along with a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Power is provided by an updated 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, backed up by an electric motor. The total output is 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque and this is allowing the exotic ride to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.8 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
