Seat has released a first teaser image of the three-door Leon hatchback, which will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
After the new generation of the Seat Leon has been unveiled back in 2012 during the Paris Motor Show, the model is ending up in our news once again, this time in a new three-door body style. Seat says that the three-door Leon will be officially presented to the public in a premiere, next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The three-door variant of the Leon is expected to get a similar design as its five-door brother, along with the same engine lineup found under the hood of the hatchback.
A variety of five engines with outputs ranging between 89 HP and 181 HP (135 kW) for the 2.0 liter TDI diesel will be available for the new three-door Seat Leon and the most powerful petrol unit will be the 1.8 liter TSI with its 178 HP (132 kW). The transmissions available for the model will be the five-speed manual, the six-speed manual, the six-speed DSG and the seven-speed DSG. The new three-door seat Leon is riding on the same MQB modular platform as the new Audi A3 or the new VW Golf 7. More details on the three-door Seat Leon will be announced during the Swiss automotive event.
