The accident took place on Sunday at around 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 70 13 miles east of Glenwood Springs. The three victims were traveling in the 2006 Audi which drove the wrong way in the westbound lane, and collided with a King Soopers semi-truck.

The accident happened in a construction zone and the roads were wet at the time of the collision.
