Remember when Honda was producing dull Jazz models… well that’s over now, with the great new Civic as well as dream machines such as the Frankfurt Motor Show’s Urban EV concept and Tokyo Motor Show’s new Sports EV Concept.
Yes, please Honda, build them – we’ll go electric – I’ll buy my wife an Urban EV and I’ll go fetch the kid from school with the Sports EV Concept… and maybe we’ll even save the planet in the meantime. Fans of the cutesy Urban EV concept will definitely love the continuation of the retro modern vibe seen at the Tokyo Motor Show with the new Sports EV concept, which follows in the exact same vein. We now deal with a two-seater sports car as opposed to a small urban electric vehicle – so perhaps in January at Detroit Honda will also deliver a crossover or a larger family car with the exact same traits.
Honda says about the Sports EV concept it features compact dimensions and artificial intelligence inside – meaning we’re dealing with some form of autonomous driving features as well. Unfortunately there are no photos of the interior, but we can imagine the Sports EV comes with just about the same array of technology as the Urban EV concept – meaning a minimalist cabin with huge touchscreen and devoid of physical controls.
