The new Toyota S-FR Concept has been officially presented to the public at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.
Following is online unveil from just a few weeks ago, the brand new Toyota S-FR Concept is currently on display at the 44th edition of the Tokyo Motor Show. The model in question is looking near-production and chances are we will see a similar vehicle in dealerships in the near future. The small sports car stands at just 3,990 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,320 mm in height, riding on a 2,480 mm long wheelbase and weighing in just 980 kg (2,160 lbs).
Its exterior design is truly unique but the Japanese based automaker is still not telling us what is found under its hood. Rumor has it that there is a 1.5 liter gasoline inline four-cylinder engine, sourced from the Corolla, which should be producing a total of 130 HP (96 kW) and 148 Nm (109 lb-ft) of torque. However, keep in mind that this hasn’t been confirmed at this point. Chances are power will be sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and this should be the only gearbox offered to the small sports car. On its domestic market, rumor has it that the new Toyota S-FR, in its production form, should start somewhere from the equivalent of 10,000 USD, or even cheaper.
