TomTom, the Dutch manufacturer of automotive navigation systems has unveiled the Via 130 and Via 135 GPS navigation units with Speak & Go.
Drivers can control the device with just the sound of their voice, as well as making hands-free calls, which helps them keep their hands on the wheel and their focus on the road. The system is capable to understand over 1,000 voice commands, from asking where the nearest petrol station is to a simple, fraught ‘take me home’.
It’ll also let you connect your phone via BlueTooth for handsfree calling and dialing.
“Just say an address, a Point of Interest or simply ‘take me home’, and TomTom plans your route straight away. Interacting with your navigation device has never been easier; it slots perfectly into your everyday drive.”
Of course, this is just one of the numerous developments to have been made to satellite navigation devices recently, with TomTom continually offering updates and additional features to enhance the services which they offer to customers.
The TomTom Via 130 has a 4.3 inch screen, and the TomTom Via 135 has a 5 inch screen. The TomTom Via 130 is priced from EUR 159 and the TomTom Via 135 at EUR 179.
