TomTom, the Dutch manufacturer of automotive navigation systems announced today that it will supply navigation content and services for Peugeot and Citroen vehicles.
Beginning 2015, Peugeot and Citroen customers will be able to enjoy an exceptional navigation experience powered by the highest quality maps, award-winning real time traffic service, TomTom HD Traffic, and superior navigation software, the Dutch manufacturer said.
TomTom will implement the system integration, software, map data and mobile connectivity on the devices, which will be supplied by Continental Automotive.
The announcement comes after TomTom said last month that Apple will use its mapping data on the new iOS operation system.
The company announced quarter revenues down 17 percent from the year before to EUR 262 million. Revenue from consumer products fell 26 percent to EUR 155 million.
TomTom has net debt of (EURO)191 million, down from (EURO)192 million at the end of the first quarter of 2012.
TomTom is a prominent name in the mapping and navigation business. The company has been producing digital map solutions for stand-alone GPS units and for other companies like Samsung, RIM and Google.
