TomTom the Dutch manufacturer of automotive navigation systems has launched the TomTom GO LIVE Top Gear edition, a sat-nav device with branding and features from the BBC car show.
Practically the Duch company brings together a combination of the BBC’s presenter Jeremy Clarkson giving directions, selected points of interest that include Top Gear related track and raceway locations and Top Gear branding.
And if having Clarkson as a back-seat driver gets a bit much, switching the sat nav into “Stig mode” will immediately silence him.
In addition to Top Gear audio and graphical customizations, the special edition satnav also comes with TomTom’s Live service for free for year, which includes TomTom HD Traffic, offering dynamic routing and traffic information every two minutes.
It costs £179.99 and is available from today in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US.
“For Top Gear fans, this limited edition satnav is the ultimate driving companion. Featuring The Stig, Clarkson and TomTom HD Traffic, the GO LIVE Top Gear edition is perfect for drivers who love the open road,”said Corinne Vigreux, Managing Director at TomTom.
