We just told you about the pristine 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition that will hit the auction block soon and now we have another special Ford that will be featured during an auction – though this time with a charitable purpose.
This time we’re talking about a 2014 Ford F-150 Raptor that went through the ateliers of well known US aftermarket specialist Hennessey – where it came out using the “VelociRaptor” moniker. This particular example was actually featured in Top Gear series 22, episode 6 when Jeremy Clarkson in his usual composure called the truck’s auxiliary light bar as being so bright it’s similar to a “collapsed sun.” Aside from great lighting the VelociRaptor also has bespoke front and rear bumpers, along with a custom set of alloys. With a lovely Pennzoil Yellow livery, the high-performance pickup truck packs under the hood a buzz-worthy supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine.
This is enough to produce 623 horsepower and 627 pound-feet, the oomph delivered to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The capable monster will do 60 miles (96 kilometers) per hour from a standstill in just 5.2 seconds before maxing out at 110 mph (177 km/h). We can also tell you the crazy guys over at Hennessey have a complete package of power boost programs tailored to the Raptor, with the baddest bringing to the table a whopping 800 horsepower. This particular unit will be sold on the auction block and all proceeds will go to the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) organization.
