The Pagani Huayra hypercar has managed to set a new record on the Top Gear Test Track with a lap time of 1:13.8, in the new Season 19, Episode 1.
The first episode of the brand new Top Gear UK Season 19 has debuted with a new lap record on the test track which has been set by the Pagani Huayra. The impressive hypercar has managed to beat the previous record held b the Ariel Atom V8, which has managed to lap the Top Gear test track in 1:15.1. This was followed by the McLaren MP4-12C in 1:16.2 and by the Lamborghini Aventador in 1:16.5.
As a quick reminder, he Pagani Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 engine with dual turbochargers, which is producing a total output of 700 HP, with a peak torque of 1,000 Nm (740 lb-ft). The Italian supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph). The Pagani Huayra is capable of withstanding 1.5G of lateral acceleration and its engine is mated to a seven-speed sequential transmission.
