Top Gear has recently finished the debate for the 2012 Family Car of the Year and the award goes to the brand new BMW 320d Touring.
After telling us that the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is the 2012 Supercar of the Year, the Top Gear crew have went to a new category, the 2012 Family Car of the Year, which was recently awarded to the brand new BMW 32d Touring.
“Small enough not to feel like you’re hauling around a Luton van when you don’t need it, big enough to cope when you do, it’s one of the few cars that will get a respectful head-nod from even the most hardcore petrolhead”, as Top Gear is saying on the German estate.
As a quick reminder, the BMW 3-Series Touring has been officially presented to the public earlier this year. the model is 97 mm linger than the sedan and its wheelbase id 50 mm longer when compared to the same F30. The rear window can be operated separately for easier access to the trunk and the storage space was increased by 35 liters to 495 liters. The new 320d Touring is coming with a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, producing a total output of 135 kW and 270 Nm of torque.
