Chris Froome, the Tour de France winner, has been recently awarded with a bespoke Jaguar F-Type.
The model in question is a custom roadster with a two-tone finish, Team Sky Pro Cycling livery, sponsor decals and some other tweaks, which will help it stand out from a crowd.
“Every young cyclist dreams of one day riding in the Tour de France, let alone winning it. I haven’t done it alone though. Team Sky has a great set of partners, and I’d like to thank Jaguar for their brilliant support over the past four years. They’ve invested a lot of time and ingenuity into designing the XF Sportbrake, which is the perfect race support car for us. It has been crucial to keeping the team on the road throughout the competition”, said Chris Froome.
Jaguar didn’t specify which engine will power the custom F-Type but as a quick reminder, the cheapest version of the Jaguar F-Type is coming with a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 engine, which is producing a total output of 340 HP and 332 lb-ft of torque. This version can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 161 mph. The F-Type V6 S has the same 3.0L V6, which is now producing 380 HP, enough for a 171 mph top speed and a 0 to 60 mph sprint of 4.8 seconds. The top of the line is the F-Type V8 S, which is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 495 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. This model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 186 mph.
