The Toyota 86 Style Cb Special Edition has been officially introduced on in carmaker’s homeland.
If you thought that the long production run of the Toyota GT 86 will most likely die in its current shape, think again, because the Japanese based automaker has just pulled a surprise on all of us and it has officially pull the wraps off a new special edition of the budget sports car. The model in question has been called the Toyota 86 Style Cb Special Edition and it is currently available exclusively for the Japanese automotive market.
The new Toyota 86 Style Cb Special Edition has been already previewed a couple of years ago, back in 2013, by the 86xstyle Cb Concept and it is coming with a brand new front bumper, with a redesigned radiator grille, with oval shaped headlights and several other tweaks which are helping it stand out from a crowd. the Cb from its name stands for Cool Beauty, as the company is stating, and some other tweaks made to it include the improved ride comfort, the revised power steering, the new trim for the dashboard, the leather wrapped steering wheel and modified instrument panel, amongst others.
We are not sure for the moment whether this will be offered in the future on other markets, when it will be launched, how much this will cost or what it will pack under its hood, but the standard one has a 2.0 liter four-cylinder boxer engine which is rated at 200 HP (149 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque, available at 6,000 rpm. The unit is connected to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
