Toyota 86X drift car to be developed by Speedhunters image

Speedhunters and KW have teamed up recently to create a drift car out of the Toyota GT 86, which was named the 86X.

According to its creators, the Toyota 86X drift car project consisted of 37 of work and the model has took part in the Gatebil drift competition in Norway. Speedhunters and KW are saying that the Toyota 86X will also tour on the European continent in the near future with Fredric Aasbo behind its wheel.

The Toyota 86X drift car will differentiate from its regular counterpart easily, thanks to the TRA Kyoto 6666 Customs GT Rodeo Special Rocket Bunny wide bodykit fender conversion and to the paintjob made by As Technical University. The Toyota 86X drift car is coming with a choice of two outputs from the same 2JZ-GTE engine, one of them producing 640 HP while the other developing 800 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque (1,000 Nm).

Speedhunters and KW say that the Toyota 86X is coming with an ACT custom flywheel, a Mid Valley four-speed transmission, an Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) triple disc race, a suspension system made by KW, FIA seats, automatic circuit breaker setup, GS Performance steering wheel, custom dashboard switches, Takata FIA harnesses, custom steering column, throttle pedal assembly and more. No details on the pricing have been announced yet.
