The Japanese based automaker Toyota is planning to develop a hot hatch version of the new generation Auris model.
After the new generation of the Toyota Auris has been officially presented to the public earlier this year, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again but as you may have imagined. Toyota is planning to develop a hot hatch version of the new Auris which should go against models like the new VW Golf GTI, the 2013 Ford Focus ST or the new Opel Astra OPC.
No official details on the new Toyota Auris hot hatch have been confirmed by the Japanese based automaker yet but the model is expected to get an aggressive body kit which might be inspired by the Modellista version and it might even borrow some lines from it. A high performance engine is also expected to make its way under the hood of the new Toyota Auris hot hatch but no details are being known on this for the moment.
The most powerful Toyota Auris in the current lineup is actually the hybrid version which is coming with 134 HP (100 kW) and 142 Nm of torque (105 lb-ft), which enables the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph).
