Toyota has released new details on the new 2013 Auris model ahead of its public debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show on the 27th of September.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the new Toyota Auris is getting a trapezoidal intake, an aggressive intake, LED infused headlights, ten exterior colors and a choice of 15-, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin of the new Toyota Auris benefits from higher quality materials and a modern design and it’s fitted with a leather wrapped dashboard, a three-spoke steering wheel and satin silver trim.
The 2013 Toyota Auris is getting four engines under its hood, the 1.33 liter petrol with 98 HP (73 kW) and 128 Nm of torque (94 lb-ft), which allows the model to burn 5.4 L/100 km (52.3 mpg UK / 43.5 mpg US) and it’s emitting 125 g/km of CO2. The 1.6 liter petrol is also available, with its 130 HP (97 kW) and 160 Nm of torque (118 lb-ft), mated to a manual transmission, which is burning 5.9 L/100 km of fuel (47.9 mpg UK / 39.9 mpg US) and it’s emitting 138 g/km of CO2.
A 1.4 D-4D direct injected diesel is next in the lineup, with its 89 HP (66 kW) and 205 Nm of torque (151 lb-ft), mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Last but not least is the Auris Hybrid, with its 1.8 liter VVT-i petrol engine and an electric motor which are producing a combined output of 134 HP (100 kW) and 142 Nm of torque (105 lb-ft). The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph).
