The new Toyota Camry XV50 has been recently launched in Malaysia where the model has been priced at RM149,900 for the base 2.0E version.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the Toyota Camry XV50 is available in three variant grades in Malaysia, the 2.0E, the 2.0G and the top of the line 2.5V, with the latter being powered by a 2.5 liter Dual VVT-i engine, which is developing a total output of 181 PS at 6,000 rpm and 231 Nm of torque at 4,100 rpm, mated to a six-speed Super ECT automatic transmission. The 2.0E and the 2.0G are actually sharing the same unit, the 2.0 liter VVT-i, which is generating 148 PS at 6,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, mated to four-speed Super ECT automatic transmission.
The Toyota Camry XV50 is 4,825 mm long, 1,825 mm wide and 1,470 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. the 2.5V weighs 1,480 kg while the 2.0 liter versions weigh 1,445 kg. Toyota says that all three versions have wood-grain trim, while the 2.0G and the 2.5V get chrome finishing for some interior features. The 2.5V is coming with a beige leather interior, the 2.0G gets a black leather interior and the 2.0E also has a beige cabin, but out of fabric. The Toyota Camry XV50 2.0E has been priced at RM149,900, the 2.0G at RM157,900 while the 2.5V costs RM180,900.
