A weird and taller version of the Toyota Auris has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers and it seems that this will be a new version of the popular model.
Toyota is currently working on a new version of the Auris which has been caught on camera, for the first time, in the images posted below. The model in question is looking quite similar to the regular car but at a closer inspection we can see the taller ride height and the camouflaged body, which suggests a new variant of the model which, for now at least, has been called the Cross Auris.
The name has been inspired by Volkswagen but considering the fact that Toyota doesn’t have an Allroad, Alltrack or an XC range just yet, chances are the final production version will come under a different moniker. The new Toyota Cross Auris has a mud-style rear bumper and a front fascia which might be hiding a facelift, along with the off-road type bumper. As far as the engine lineup goes, this remains a secret for the moment but one thing is for sure, despite its increased ride height and off-road looks, the vehicle pictured below will continue to be offered with two-wheel drive.
