Toyota FT-86 leaked ahead of Tokyo debut image

The Japanese based automaker Toyota appears to have leaked some images to the web of its FT-86 model ahead of the Tokyo Motor Show unveiling, with the pictures showing the look of the future rear-wheel drive coupe anticipated by the concept.

The design of the FT-86 concept based coupe is no longer a surprise for anyone and the vehicle developed in a partnership with Subaru will keep the sports lines of the concept which will be more highlighted and aggressive.

It seems that a naturally aspirated Boxer engine will make its way under the hood which will be generating about 200 horsepower which will be sent to the rear wheels most likely through a manual transmission, with an automatic probably been offered as an option.

An upgraded turbo version of the same Boxer engine is expected to be implemented to the new Japanese sports car with its 300 horsepower, which belongs to Subaru and will power the new BRZ.

Sadly we don’t have any more details about the Toyota model which leaked ahead of the Japanese event, but the FT-86 is expected to be placed in the spotlights in December, at the Tokyo Motor Show.
