Toyota has recently pulled the wraps off the FT 86 Open Concept, which is previewing the GT 86 Convertible, ahead of its public debut set for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The Japanese based automaker Toyota has already announced its plans to introduce the GT 86 Convertible during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next week but it seems that the company was only planning to present a concept version of the popular sports car. The model in question has been named the FT 86 Open Concept and it’s previewing the final production variant. In fact, the overall design of the car is expected to remain the same, except for a few tweaks.
The cabin of the FT 86 Open Concept is virtually identical to the one used on the coupe and it’s coming with a high-contrast white and navy blue interior and yellow carpeting. The model is also getting a small audio system, which is replacing the infotainment, an additional instrumentation, alloy pedals, metallic accents and more. No performance details have been released yet but most likely the 2.0 liter four-cylinder boxer engine made by Subaru will remain unchanged and it will still produce 200 HP and 205 Nm of torque.
