The first renderings with a sedan version of the Toyota FT86 have recently hit the web and they might provide us with a first look into a possible future model.
Theophilus Chin is managing to take us by surprise once again, this time with some new drawings, which are showing us the so-called Toyota FT86 Sedan. The images are coming after a rumor which was saying, just last year, that the company is considering a new rear-wheel drive sports sedan which will be based on the FT86, if the coupe will not become a best-seller, so with the two-door version being very popular, such a vehicle may never see daylight, after all.
However, if the Japanese based automaker decided to put it into production, the new Toyota FT86 Sedan will get a 100mm extended wheelbase and it might even be officially presented to the public, for the first time, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March. The model will receive the same 2.0 liter boxer engine under its hood, with four cylinders and 200 HP, which is also found on the Subaru BRZ and the Toyota GT86. The market launch of the FT86 Sedan will probably take place in 2015. More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
